Disturbance: SOM Center Road
Gilmour Academy staff working a hockey game at the ice arena reported Jan. 20 that students from University School were banging their hands on the entry doors.
The banging resulted in damage to a bracket, which caused the sliding doors to stop working properly.
The administrations of the two schools have agreed to work together to come to a resolution.
Disturbance: SOM Center Road
Officers responded to the Gilmour Academy Ice Arena at 11 p.m. Jan. 14 for a report of parents from a visiting hockey team being disruptive at the end of a game.
There was no disturbance upon arrival, but officers remained there until the spectators departed.
Alarms: Gates Mills Estates
Officers responded to a burglar alarm at a home around 9:15 p.m. Jan. 16 and found an unsecured front door.
Nobody was at the home, but it was checked and found to be OK. The resident was subsequently notified of the incident.
Utilities: Old Mill Road
The water company responded to a water main break in the 7000 block Jan. 19 and remained for about three hours until the necessary repairs were completed.
Driving under suspension: Mayfield Road
Officers checked on a disabled vehicle Jan. 19 near West Hill Drive and found that the driver had a suspended license.
The Cleveland woman, 33, was cited for the infraction and the vehicle was removed.
Utilities: Brigham Road
Wires were found hanging down in the driveway of a private residence near Battles Road Jan. 20. The fire department confirmed that they were TV cable lines and notified the company.
