NEW YORK -- The Cavaliers begin a three-game road trip on Tuesday night against the New York Knicks. Tipoff from Madison Square Garden is at 7:30 p.m. EST.

The Cavs (29-19) seem poised to get one of their stars back.

Donovan Mitchell is listed as probable, and was a full participant in Monday’s practice. The guard has been dealing with a left a left groin strain and has missed the past three games. Mitchell tweaked his groin Jan. 16 against New Orleans.

Earlier this year against the Knicks, Mitchell scored 38 on Oct. 30 at home.

Cleveland improved to 3-5 without Mitchell by getting a big night from Evan Mobley in Saturday’s 114-102 win over Milwaukee. Mobley scored a career-high 38 points on 19-of-27 shooting. Even more impressive, that output came without making a 3-pointer or a free throw.

“That’s exactly what we want to see,” Darius Garland said. “Him being aggressive. Him just finding his pocket and doing what he does best. I would love to see that every night.”

The Knicks (25-23) have been floundering and enter this game having lost four straight. Those losses have come by an average of 9.3 points.
